Here's a video, posted by a friend, about the covid abuse
Thing to do might be to check the patient out so they can take her home to die. I don't believe the hospital has the right to force a patient to stay. Matter of fact, when I had a tubal pregnancy and ended up in a catholic hospital, I checked myself out so I could go to one that would let my doctor perform a tubal ligation (which I had been scheduled for, but the pregnancy and rupture happened before the surgery date.) Times may have changed since then, and I know laws vary between states as well, but it might still be possible

Often, by the time the situation gets to this point, the family feel that they can not provide the comfort measures that would be required. Hospice care at home would be my preference, if I had a lingering death.
