Sounds crazy, but it so yummy!
Here is what we did. We found a recipe that we liked and then played with it. Basically combined the spices and herbs we liked and dumped them in
The meat was made up of the moose liver, heart and some grind meat to bring it up to the correct weight for the recipe.
The liver itself was 16 pounds and the heart I suppose was 8-10.
Anyway, after pureeing it well, we packed some of it in pint jars to can, just as an experiment.
The rest we froze in 1 pound packages.
The flavor is very good! Not really livery at all.
I brought one package down to my parents, and decided to make meatloaf out of it.
I added gluten free bread crumbs, ketchup, onions and eggs to it.
I just got a taste of it, and it is to die for!
Making Rissoto and sweet potatoes to go with it.
Earlier I made Black bean brownies.
They taste good, but the texture is weird...
