Years ago, I went horse back riding and came back w/a kitten. It was all by itself in the middle of the road w/fields on both sides, so either it was feral, or (more likely since it didn't act wild), dumped.

well, between yesterday and today we get over 3 inches. (i will measure in a bit). it was needed.

it is supposed to stop raining today.. has been raining for 4 days. i know we need it but a break every couple of days would be nice!

the little kitten is doing real good. her eyes are clear and she is the funniest little thing. she walks up on the keybord of the computer and rolls over like a dog to have her tummy rubbed. and she gets on my husbands lap and rolls over and gives him the how cute am i rutine. (she knows who she has to win over) lol

my turkeys have doubled in size since i got them at the begining of october. (the one that i think/hope is a male is almost double the size of the "hopefully" female)

my donkey went to his new home yesterday i hated to see him go, but i get to go see him and i know he will be well cared for. we also found a good home for the brown pony. so we are left with my daughters blind poa and grace the grullo quarter horse. my husband said for now we should keep those 2 and see how we do with finding hay for a month or so. he also suggested to me if i want another horse might i want a mini pony? he looked at a set of mini harness down at our amish friends tack shop yesterday, and he offered the new set of harness to us for $50.00 (his cost) and said he might know where there is a cheap/free mini pony. i havent decided yet.

i am hoping to get my garden area tilled and ready for next year. got plenty of rabbit and horse poo ready to go on. going to make it bigger also. got my order for the seed catalog filled out and ready to go. all organic and heirloom seeds. and hopefully next year i can save my own seeds.

also looking at my chick catalogs. i want a few breeds that i am only going to get if i order them. trying to stay close to home, yet get a good price. i cant belive how pricey some of these places are. i think i am going to go with mc murry. i have heard they have good birds.

I know the feeling, we are getting ours cleared right now. I have to line us up some manure to put on it, and the new patch. I have my seeds laid in and I should be able to save most of ours next year. We have berry bushes coming in the first of November so we have to get our land treated for them.

went and got 8 5 gal buckets of apples today. did up the first 5 gal bucket and got 7 2cup baggies of sauce. will do more tomarow.

other than that, not much new here.

well, did up more applesauce yesterday. i have 20- 2cup baggies in the freezer. 10 of those are the red hot kind that the kids like. and i have only gone threw 2 1/2 buckets. already have a batch on the stove this morning.

hubby told me i was becoming a hermit this morning. i think he is starting his midlife crises. they have hired a bunch of 20 somthings and he has been hanging out with them after work. but the last 6 months he has become obsesed with getting another motercycle and air jordin shoes. (he is the only guy i know that has a thing for shoes) he has also gotten tempermental. i hope this passes quickly!!

the puppies have been wanting to go out with their mama, so yesterday i let them. and they were having so much fun that i left them out almost all day. let mama out this morning and they ran out with her. i guess it is about time they go out. the little girl barked with the others at the mailman. i am hoping they will learn to be like their mama and aunt and be weary of strangers, and go after varments. they are "hog dogs" catahoula mom and pitbull dad. i have had a lot of people ask if they were going to be for sale. the other female is going into heat now so i think i might bring the neighbors grand nite champian hound up and breed her to him. (he is a walker) not my favorite breed of hound, but should be great coon dog pups. i would like to find a male catahoula colored like the one in my avitar, but unless i can talk hubby into going WAY south i am sol. they just arent a breed i can find up here unless you get lucky and stumble on some. (like i did my girls)

Hi, Nice pics. The puppies are very cute.We have royal palm turkeys too. I can't tell by the picture but the males will have black on their chest. Hope they are a pair.

didnt work on apples today, hauled 8 loads of firewood. we need to haul @7 more and we will have our wood in for the winter. for only$10.00 per load. we took a load down to the elderly neighbors.

not sure what is up with the goats. they arent eatting their grain very well. i went ahead and wormed them today, just in case. for a couple weeks they couldnt get filled up and now they leave their grain. i worm every 3 mos, so i wormed about a month early.

puppies still would rather be outside, so they are going to spend their first night outside... who wants to bet that they want in about an hour after i go to bed??
