what I find amazing is that people need to read these things....you would think we wouldn't need reminders, but in this rat race, we sure do! :)

I know what you mean, FarmerChick, but it can be hard to keep your head on straight when everyone around you is dead-set on the $ (rat race). Some days you might think you are a little simple in the head for prefering to find your joy in simple things. ;)

I was mentioning this article to my husband and we realized that over the years we have come to appreciate a yard full of life (plants and animals) more than a nice house. Life (living things) is (are) priceless.

that is a good point.
making that switch in thinking that real live things are more important than plastic stuff is so important. So many don't realize that.
