This page offers a great tutorial on how to make fresh butter. Of course it is easy LOL...we all know that, but this has pics thru the whole process so you can truly see how easy it is to make fresh butter.

The pics make it an interesting fast read.....and don't forget, flavored butters are delish!!!

I love sites with good pics to show the stages of process :)

That is great! I just read through it and added it to my favorites. Now to wait until Molly gets old enough to breed, carries the calf, delivers the calf and then the time it takes me to figure out how to milk!!!! No problem!!!!

When I make butter at the dairy I pour about 2 cups of cream into the food processor, turn it on and let 'er rip! Takes about 1 to 2 minutes and it's done. The other thing we do is at the point where she squeezes it into a ball triumphantly, I wash it with water--just turn the hose on it (it's in a big tub) and then push the butter around with a big spoon. Then pour out the water and do it again until the water is pretty clear when the butter is rinsed. This keeps it from going bad sooner (or fermenting). I hope this helps someone!

Nice, I get sick of churning! Thanks for posting!

You're welcomed! I forgot to add that I use the "buttermilk" that I pour off the butter in homemade biscuits!
