Ha, Oregon, I am 10 miles from Oregon. The biggest impediment is the desire to pick the berries. I have a bunch to clean up so the next four days I am likely to get the pot filled. Drying is going to make the house smell like a juniper forest...

Only thing I use juniper berries for is in my dijon style mustard

Sure thing, @XtreemLee ! I'll post it over in the Kitchen thread. They want us to keep all the recipes together.

So... if someone had a rig set up to distill *ahem* other things, they could make essential oils? Am I reading this correctly?

Well, unless you can REALLY use it, costly. But, seems fast & reviews are good -- consider they are on own site of seller.

Essential oils can be expensive, I buy mine for soaps. If you had plant source for some of the really costly ones, it would be worth a try. Of course, only if you had a heavy use for it. LOL

@crealbilly , looks like you could make a lot of.... essential oils... with that set up. Or was it the special water you were after for a relaxing bath... :gig

Actually, that's a pretty cool set up you have there!
