Making rugs

What a timely subject.............just yesterday my mind was in gear as I was walking through the barnyard my foot caught a stray twine from hay or straw. Then, coming through the barn I passed the large sack of used twine. We all know how sturdy this twine is and I got to thinking that perhaps it could be crocheted into a rug. Haven't tried it yet, but I have a large hook and was thinking I'd try to use a double strand. I'm thinking it might be tough on tender hands, but who am I kiddinng with these dry farmer hands.LOL

Hey girl, I'm in the same boat! I wish I had some of the twine, I need to ask a ranching relative if he has a stash. I really think that might work and be long lasting.
