Mashed Carrots

I guess any root vegetable could cooked and then mashed or whipped with cream.

What flavor profile could you use with carrots?

I think mashed carrots would be a good dish to use canned carrots. Overcooked would mash better.

I tried mashing in my stand mixer. The results were lumpy and slightly stringy.

I put that into my power blender (ninja) and needed to add water so its a bit soupy.

Its sitting now while I decide to heat and thicken or to call it soup.

any of the spices you like that you'd put in pumpkin breads IMO.

cardamom is a very different taste, i would advise anyone to go light with it until they know how much they like (if any at all).

Never heard of mashed ones but I have heard of fried carrots (18th Century dish )
