Slaughter day is Tuesday or Wednesday for us...can't remember when my friend is off work, but she's lookin forward to it 
 She tickles me how she gets excited when I want to slaughter. She just loves the extras I share with her 
 I'm looking forward to it too...they are beginning to stink now 
 It's about time too! I haven't free ranged, they've been caged, but fed clover and grass with their regular commercial feed. I thought it'd be a good contrast to what you all are doing. Slaughter date has gotten moved back a bit, was gonna be this weekend, but then it got filled up with parties and such frivolosity 
 So anyway, I'll try to remember to weigh them and stuff and maybe get some pics and post. I am just not reliable with pictures, sometimes I remember to get them and sometimes I remember when it's too late. :/ What can I say? I can be a bit of a dingbat 
 Either way, I'm craving chicken and I am ready to get them done!!

 but after about 45 minutes I turned the oven down to 200 and let 'er cook for approx 3hrs.
