If the everything was just perfect, we could pick up Portland Oregon radio stations, both AM and PM. It was rare. Apparently the Cascades are just too much for them.

Jacks! Yes! I need to get some for my granddaughters—and send them HOME with them! Anybody know where I can get some?

I remember only having AM radios in cars. Along with no AC and wing vent windows. When traveling, we’d run out of range of a radio station and my Daddy would turn the knob, trying to find another one. And the static noise!

Looks like they are selling "jacks kids game" on amazon.

not me. grandma had some plastic protectors on her furniture in the living room, but i rarely spent any time in that room. the basement and other rooms were much more interesting. the really fun thing that i didn't know about for some years was that the basement had yet another area underneath that was a cellar. i suspect that was where Grandpa kept the vino.

i never met him as he passed away before i was born.
