My spaghetti sauce needs something?!?!

Well, I started out at 10:30 and a stock pot full of tomatoes with onions and peppers. Cooked until it reduced ALOT. At about 2, I added the rest of the stuff. I messed around with it, then turned it off around 3. We are eating in about 5 minutes--as soon as th noodles are ready.

In the future Miss_thenorth, try adding a cup of dry red wine to the sauce while you are cooking it. An italian friend, who made great sauce, told me that she always had a glass of wine for her and a glass for the sauce. I have tried it and it really makes the difference. Since you pour it in while the sauce is cooking, the alcohol cooks out and leaves a rich flavor! Yum!
