What are the green tanks by the side of the house?

Love the patio! Beautful chickens and beautiful kids :)

The green tanks are water tanks. They are used to water the vegie garden backyard and the fruit trees, we have taps at these points and a pump attached to the tank.

You have some great pics there, LC! If those are winter shots of your place, I am envious! We normally don't see that much green here during winter.

That train cake is too cute!

What kind of plants/vines do you have around your pergola?

We have had a week of rain but the last 2 days have been lovely, it snows about 3 days per year where I am too.

We have a Banksia rose over half the back pergola and a potato vine over the other half, the bush in the picture is a Wormwood.

All the lawn dies in Summer though we are in pretty severe drought here at the moment.

I like your photos of your place, I've got to get a cloths line like that. It takes up less space.

So, what do your neighbors think of the chickens? Are they as into ss as you are?

Do you have any trouble with critters getting into your compost pile? I would like to start one at this house but we have so much open space, I am worried about drawing in unwanted visitors!
