We DO have the goats, and hubby does really well with that milk and my farmer's cheese. Thing is, both my son and I are partial to cow's milk.
I don't know. It's frustrating. The goats tried to escape again today (now that they know the grass is greener.. ) and the chickens have discovered they prefer my garden so several times today I had to chase them out of the garden.
Here it is now 7:38 and I still have to put the chickens up for the night. I still have a chicken feather stuck in my throat; my kid didn't bother to check on me even tho I was coughing for 20 minutes straight. He hid his civics workbook because he didn't want to read about the constitution but it "magically" appeared when I said no more movies until he finds it. My carpal tunnel hurts even tho I have to milk the goat (got a whole 2 cups out of her tonight). It was 96+ here today, and I'm sweating (also in menopause).
Severely frustrated, and I'm thinking about adding more!?!?! Heck no!
Actually, I'm gonna talk Hubby into selling some of our chickens and harvesting enough to have each pen to only 10-13 each. Then I'm gonna say that now that we'll have a few extra bucks, he needs to change plans so that he's home every night and will commit to doing more every night and on weekends. No more running to his mom's at the drop of a hat to "fix her internet" (55 minute drive from home). No more sleeping in to noon, or asking me what chores have to be done or how much to feed what critter.
IF he wants to keep the goats.
Anyhoo, my computer crashed again this afternoon. Gotta order more milking filters before it dies again then install yet another virus scan program. Hope to be back online tomorrow.
Have a good night, all.
