Hubby and I were just watching the local news. We're located near Denver, CO on the eastern plains. A nearby reservoir is dropping over a foot a day, and in another nearby location, an entire lake that services 20,000 acres is completely dry. Bone, cracked dry.

We need to make it snow. Or rain there in those southern states. So ... we're calling for people to gather together on Saturday, October 13 2012 to make it snow! Do whatever you and your friends do: pray, meditate ... whatver. Let's bring the moisture from places that has too much, and bring it to where we need it the most. Let's envision filling up reservoirs and lakes and cisterns and rain barrels.

Our garden pretty much flopped this year because we couldn't consistently water it so there went our plans for a harvest party, but come Oct 13, we're inviting like-minded people to come join us on our tiny farmette.

Would you do the same, please?

Pass the word.

One way to find out ... gonna join me?

Look at it this way:
-it's an excuse to have a party
-it's an excuse for people to bring their favorite dish
-it's a good time to share with people before the winter

-and if it works, hay and corn and well, almost everything, shouldn't be so expensive next year.

We had crispy vegetation last year, record breaking fires, 2 months of 100 degree plus heat, dead pastures, cattle sell off, brown gardens, dry ponds and lakes......I feel your pain. I will be glad to say a prayer for you on Oct 13. I will be glad to say a prayer for you every day until you get the snow/rain you need.

Thank you, but it's not just for me. It's for all of the USA that didn't get much preciptation this year.

So many food prices are increasing, all because the weather is so messed up. This movement will benefit us all.
