New Ducks

Friday we picked up some ducks from 'The Duck Guy'. We met him at a game-bird swap last year and purchased ducks from him in the past. He has some really nice ones and sells show birds to local 4-Her's and other show people. (I am no longer in 4-H or show, we just wanted some ducks)
He has probably over 200 ducks and even more geese, so many different kinds, all over the place.

My mom purchased two Aylesbury hens, two Buff hens and I purchased a Chocolate Muscovy pair and a female buff Muscovy. I love my chocolates!

Don't worry I wouldn't know the difference. Are the golden colored ones the Buffs?

I agree with you. I LOVE those chocolates! Very nice birds! All of them.

Yes, the two gold/tan colored ones without the carnucles are the Buff Orpington ducks. The other tan one with the carnucles is the buff Muscovy. The two white ones are the Aylesburies (sp?)

We already have a pair of the buff ducks so they will join them for breeding season. And I do enjoy a mixed flock of Muscovies. No idea what my mom is planning to do with the Aylesburies, enjoy them around the yard probably. They are so fat with all that dewlap!
