Hey Ya'll!

I'm so glad to have found this site. Our family lives on 3.5 acres in the country. We don't have chickens or a garden, but I have the "fever" and Lord willing next year we will at least have a garden. I came here to learn and baby step by baby step we'll reach our goals.

We're frugal folks and trying to find new ways all the time to stretch what we have. Dh lost his job over a year ago and does part-time work. Trying to start up our own business.

Thanks for letting me join in and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Blessings

:frow Hello and Welcome to SS!

Hubby and I have just just recently jumped into self sufficiency and are doing the baby step route too! Just don't be surprised when them small steps turn into leaps! Everything happens for a reason and ya just gotta ride the waves as they happen! ;)

Make yourself at home here and enjoy!

Welcome!!

My first bit of advice.. Where ever you plan to put that garden next year... Start dumping compost and manure. Then by spring it will have broken down and be ready to go. :ya

Chickens are easy. I am sure you could manage those if you like.

Hang around a bit, there are a ton of great folks with lots of experience and knowledge to share.
