Almost Self-Reliant
We had that problem with our Ford Focus. We took it to Canadian Tire and they had to order a special tool to do it!
I LOVE MY NEIGHBOR!!!

The Vail Benton's said:BBH, DH says (you might already know this) don't touch your new light bulb with your fingers or you'll be cussing your car again and changing that same bulb in the near future.
On a Mazda RX8 a mechanic will charge 2.8 hrs. to change a headlight bulb. When DH worked at the dealership they charged $100 p/h - that was 5 years ago.
We have an 05 Mustang and a few months ago, the speedo quit working. In order to fix it, we need to buy the ENTIRE instrument cluster. That's a $300 part. Additionally, the dealership will charge 2 hours to put in on their computer to program it so it will be able to "talk" to our car's computer.
The older vehicles we have sitting in the yard (all in running condition) look better to me all the time.

But with gas prices I really need to get a chevy LUV.

hmmmmm, $75 or oodles & oodles of mula. That's a tough one, BBHbig brown horse said:Tell me about it.(Poor Mr Ben did need a band aid when it was all said and done.)
Now you brought up another subject, timing belts. My civic has about 80,000 miles on the odometer. Time to change the timing belt.
Here are my options: have the guy down the street do it. (He is a mechanic, but just lost his job recently.) He said he would only charge me $75 to do the job.
OR
Take it into the shop and pay oodles and oodles of mula to do the same job.
Do ya have to decide right away or can you think about it awhile?
