Our ads are getting crazier

This popped up as I was clicking to delete an ad. It was for UGG boots, which I didn't access, or any other boots ! :idunno

HOW GOOGLE SELECTS ADS:
This ad is based on:
  • Your visit to the advertiser's website and/or app
You can make ads more useful to you. Control your ad settings

Report a bad website or app. Go to the publisher feedback form

Report bad ads. Go to the ad feedback form

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Read privacy policy
Google is one of many ad networks that personalizes ads based on your activity online. Go to AdChoices to control ads from other ad networks.

I think Google is jacked up.

Well, right NOW, there's an ad on right of my screen from a company I do (&did) just order from. I do not like this OBVIOUS tracking!! Since they send me a questionnaire to complete, guess what I will put in there?? :barnie This isn't them as they have my email -- I suppose it's Google. NOT happy.

We must get individualized ads because I don't see those you get.

If I saw a prowler following me, I'd confront them -- maybe with a weapon. How do we stop them!!??

Went to their suggested areas, basically -- you will still see ads! Lots of them. They may or may not be sites you visited...so "less helpful", they say. I SAY -- don't want ANY.

This is what I'm seeing here right now:

They have bots trawling sites looking for keywords and then place ads relevant to the content, if they can't find anything about you to advertise about.

The ads annoy me too at times, but I tolerate them. They are what is making free sites like this one money. Google pays a little bit per number of times ads were viewed and a little bit more if people click on the ads on your page.

Ok I am getting ads for opiate addiction treatment constantly on this site now and it's kind of annoying, lol

I get ads from TSC, those make sense... was looking there yesterday. But I have no idea where the opioid ads come from! Lol
