Our very first egg!!!!!

I figure I have about 300.00 in this first egg. I hope the girls really start to producing now, so the cost average per egg will drop!!

Congratulations! Looks like it is a good size too, for a first pullet egg. We all go crazy when we get our egg version of the "$64 Tomato".

I've been checking the boxes every single day since my first hen did "the squat" for me. I haven't gotten one yet, but it really should be any day now!

My first hen/pullet laid at 20 weeks and it has taken a few weeks for eveyone else to fall in line. Although our overall production is still lower that it should be ...and fairly irregular

We have 6 New Hamshire Reds and they are 19 weeks old today!
