Woohoo! The payment came for the apartment today!! I know it is the second one but it is still exciting!! Now, I am wondering if we should still take the extra $160 and put it on the HELOC or just use that for medical bills.

I got $87 in medical bills today.....$75 the day before yesterday (that was for 4 bills in total. And a 'bill' from the hospital that was not even a bill that just said we owed our $500 deductible to them! I have not even seen a bill from my OB at all yet!
I'd put half towards both, unless the amount would pay one off. But that's me.

Pay something off...HAHAHA!!
We owe $6500 on our HELOC and the medical bills have just started! I only have $160 extra after I make the regular payment to work with.

:barnie I just got back from the pediatrician. I think that was a HUGE waste of $25!! The nurse measured the baby's head and said 13 1/2"...I said "Are you sure because that looked like 12 1/2" to me?" She measured again....sure enough 12 1/2"! Then she did her length....she said the baby SHRUNK a 1/4" in two weeks! Then she weighed her....I swear the needle was bouncing back and forth between the 2 and 3 ounce mark. She said 4 pounds even again...meaning that she has not gained any weight since last Friday! Ounces are important at this point...to me anyways...but aparently to her just rounding was ok!! :he
Then the Doctor came in....looked at the baby said she had a set of twins born at 35 weeks....had preeclampsia with her first....checked the baby over...all looks good. THEN went into a ten minute speal about vaccines!! 'Cause she saw that I had turned down the Hep vaccine in the hospital. She agreed that the Hep vaccine was not neccassary but went on and on about the RSV vaccine AND then said the RSV season will be over in one month!! She had the nurse give me litarture on the RSV vaccine. When the nurse came in with the papers the ONLY thing the nurse said about the vaccine was that it was the most expensive vaccine they offer!! I have to do this again in one month!! I think I would rather take my $25 from this visit and $25 for the next visit and put that toward my own scale and weigh her myself!!!

Something eggciting: Another lady on BYC sent me some new quail eggs since none of the quail eggs from the Dec swap hatched. They are due to hatch in three days. I just went in the bathroom where I have them at and saw one of the eggs wiggling!!! Hopefully I have a good hatch this time!! The lady I sent to in the Dec swap got 6 out of 8 eggs to hatch!

Pam, do you get your kids vaccinated?

I only ask because, I've not taken our baby (he's almost 7 months) to the Dr. since he was about 1 month old. I took him for regular check ups the first month because he was jaundice. Once he was over that, and I knew he was OK, I saw no reason for going back.

My kids have all been vaccinated, except for the baby. My 2nd child didn't start his vaccinations until he was 15 months...that was my choice...that first year he never had a fever or was sick. My pediatrician reamed me for not following their set shots schedule. So I got him up on all his shots.

I was wanting to wait until the baby is 1 year before starting his shots. I was going to not do the shots, but then I thought I might go ahead. So far, the baby hasn't had any fevers, been sick, not even a cold!! Not like my others who'd got the shots at 2 months and on and were ALWAYS sick or having a cold!

My older boys are. 6 yo only has half of them. 4 yo DD has her hospital and two month shots. I am choosing not to vaccinate the baby at all. 9 and 4 yo have only been to the doctors ONCE. 13 and 11 yo went a couple of times. 6 yo went more because he ended up having to have surgery when he was like 2 years old. So, he had to go a few times. Next month will probably be baby girl's last appointment. They will not be able to talk me into scheduling another appointment.
I would not have made the appointment for today except for the ped office does free weight (and bp) checks if you are a patient. With the baby weighing so little I wanted to keep tabs on it. And they would not weigh her last week unless I made an appointment for this week.
Baby girl saw a different pediatrician when she was in the hospital because the ped I took her to today does not service the hospital that I had her at. The ped that saw her in the hospital wanted me to come in on the Friday or Monday after I had her for a weight check since he let her go home so small....so I went to my local ped doc. I do not like the ped doctors 'office' that seen her in the hospital. There are 4 ped docs in the office so you never know who is going to see your baby and it is usually a snotty zoo in the waiting room and you have to wait over an hour to get in to see the doc.
