I had some grapes earlier and they were really good. I am calling this the 'Kiss Me Diet" 'cause if you kiss me you can lose 8 pounds too! :gig I got it by kissing baby girl!
 
I am starting to feel a little more alive today instead of like death warmed over!

I am going to spend the next hour going through baby girl's baby clothes and then I am going to go down to my mom's and we are going to play with our new toy! The Accuquilt GoBaby !!
My mom tried to use it earlier today to kind of play with it...without me!! And it would NOT work for her! She tried to put the Sunbonnet Sue die through it and it would NOT work!! She even had the neighbor help her! And they could could not get it to go through the machine. So when she called me I suggested she just try one of the other two dies we got and the triangle one went through great...the square/triangles/square one went through and it did not have a real nice clean cut. Then she tried the Sunbonnet sue die again...and then it worked that time! UGH! I will be so upset if we paid (actually got it free with our swagbucks earnings) all of this money for it and it does not work. Sigh...wish me luck and hopefully I can get nice clean cuts out of it and make a beautiful baby quilt with it! And I will try my best to not cry while I cut up baby girl's baby clothes!
 
The Accuquilt actually worked great! I did not have any problems cutting out the pieces from baby girl's clothes! I did however find one problem...the quilt is PINK!! HAHA!! :lol: I think I only wore PINK on baby girl...haha...I KNOW that I only wore PINK on both of my girls!! What can I say?? I had 4 boys! I wanted a little girl in PINK!!
I could not bring myself to cut out a couple of her little preemie sleepers...just could not do it! And one of them is a beautiful green that would POP in the quilt!!

ETA: I cut out enough to do about 1/3 of the baby quilt...then my mom pooped out on me!

Pam, I recently borrowed a book from our local library, Small Quilts: The Vanessa-Ann Collection by Oxmoor House. In this book, there is a small wall-hanging quilt that came to my mind when you said you had some of baby girl's outfits you just could not cut up for quilt pieces.

The quilt is called Clothesline. The finished size of the quilt is 40" x 53". Basically, the quilt top is covered with a flower design along the bottom third. The top 2/3s of the quilt is a solid pale color. The colors used in the book are pint, green, white, and cream. After the quilting is done, 1 1/2 yards of 3/8-inch wide heavy white trim is attached to the quilt to represent the clothesline. The clothes you can't bear to cut are hung on the clothesline. Since they aren't permanent, the outfit can be changed. The effect is the special outfit hanging out in the yard near the flower garden.
 
That sounds like a really neat idea KJM! I am hoping that once I get through some more of her clothes I will have some more colors to add. I also have scraps of fabric from some of the boutique outfits that I have made.

Today we are trying to pick the rest of the garden and get ready to tear all of the vines/plants up. I think I am going to end up with another three 5 gallon buckets of green beans. I am not sure how many tomatoes. The one row of potatoes we dug up so far is not looking very promising for a good crop of those.

The weather sure is beautiful today!
 
My mom called me and asked me out to breakfast this morning so she took me and the girls to breakfast while DH and the four boys were at the men's breakfast at church. My mom's treat!! :) Then she told me that she saw the sign that one of the church's in town was having a rummage sale...Saturday $1 a bag day!!!

For my $1 I got:
3 belts
Pair of dress shoes for oldest
4 (3XL) Plaid shirts for cutting up to make a quilt (probably enough fabric for half of a twin size quilt!!)
2 shirts for me
Shirt for 6 yo DD
t-shirt for 9 yo DS
3 nice...somewhat dressy shirts for DH or boys
5 toys for the kiddos

Garage Sale $4:
Shirt for 9 yo DS
swim trunks for 12 and 14 yo (one pair still had the tags on)
Pair of shorts for 12 yo
Huge brand new beach towel

Garage Sale $1:
80 party cups!! All Disney!! These are the cups that are not as good as regular plastic cups but not good hard plastic party cups!!
A HUGE...I mean HUGE tub of decorative party cups, decorative paper plates, a crap load of Barbie party favors and stuff. A HUGE stack of stickers! The lady used to be a Hallmark party supplies sales rep and just wanted to get rid of ALL of it!! We can use FREE paper plates and cups for sure! I don't care if they are party ones! There is enough sets to have at least 3 full themed parties too!
The lady gave my 9 yo an electronic drum thing. I loaded up a BIG bag of the stuff to give to a friend that has 7 kiddos.

Garage Sale $27: All for baby girl (These were the biggest blessing because baby girl NEEDED some new clothes bad!!)

I had a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon and the earrings were BOGO 50%! They were $8 each so...$8+$4-$10= $2 plus tax!!

Baby Girl is COVERED with some of the stickers that we were given! LOL!

I also went to Dollar General and used two $5 off a $25 purchase coupons and I loaded up on cleaning supplies and toiletries.

DH and my oldest came home from the men's breakfast and finished fixing my rabbit hutch. I now have 3 New Zealand white does, one buck and 2 lion head rabbits. So now all of my does are nicely separated. In another few weeks I COULD have baby meat rabbits coming out my ears because I am pretty sure all 3 does are bred!

I am absolutely loving this beautiful sunshine today!!

You rock!!! Excellent job on the yard sales today. I love finding great deals.

So have you bred rabbits for meat before?? I don't remember if this is new for you guys or not.

Our weather here today is amazing as well. The sunshine has that fall glare to it. It warmed up a bit today after we sent that chilly storm to the east. I think it's supposed to reach you guys by Sun or Mon. Burrr is was a cold one.

So are you done canning for the season? I have my last few meat birds resting in an ice chest. I am maxed out on chicken. should last us quite a while. :woot

I am setting up the sewing table today. My girls are in need of some long winter skirts. Going for the long skirt, cow girl boot look this year. :D We will see how that goes.
