Peach trees

We had access to a great old pear tree when we rented. You really need to pick them and ripen them inside. They are very overripe by the time they fall.

One year the birds were eating them like crazy and I finally figured out that it was a drought month and they were thirsty. I put out a pan of water and saved some pears for us.

I was able to pick 4 & brought them into the house to ripen on a window sill. Of course a couple weeks went by & nothing happened. They went from rock-hard to rotten practically overnight. Well, I'll know what to do next year. :/
