I took this from about 50 feet away. Dogs just stood with me watching. They only chase off the grass which he figured out last night.

Roosevelt Elk are big.

That looks like freezer camp for a year. I can honestly say I've never eat elk. What's it taste like?

Beef with a slight distinctive aftertaste. Tastes different from mule deer. I may not be the best to describe it as I grew up eating deer, elk, and beef interchangeably as my parents hunted for meat. There was never a "you have to cook deer only this way". We also used all the soup bones and it was mix and match if adding more meat than was on the bones. I can tell what I'm eating, but they all taste like red meat to me.

Silkies are always in fashion with their 70s afros.

Then the Polish hens have 50s bouffant housewife hair. The Polish roosters have 80s hairband rocker hair.
