ill be honest, i fl a tad cheated, all this talk of snow and thus far all weve got is something that kinda looks like snow but never makes it to the ground...i mena come on, with these temps it needs to snow enough to make everything pretty OR it needs to buck up get over it and allow NORMAL tmperatures to return...this inbetween junk is annoying lol

nxt weeks supposed ot have a few nice days though so getting the 4 vegie beds built is on my priority list. as is starting to get some bird netting stapled around the property line i need to ge going on that perimiter work.

but now...now i think its time to go sear a slab of cow reheat some left ovr rice and have a dinner nd a movie night :)

judging by haystacks chest i belive its her litter, though the nest does have a few bits of opal hair form bluebell im assuming those were just ranom mouthfulls she grabbed form anywhere, i noticed her carrying straw a few weeks ago then nothing so assumed fale alarm, well today a beautiful veyr heavily furred nest in one of the houses and 5 warm clean babies.
from the color of the kits im guessing 1 castor/opal or chinchilla and 4 REW or Pointed babies. these are my "meat mutts" so color isnt as important as the idea behind this mix is soley meat.
i mean ill sell em for cash if i cn but i wont be too worried about it if they dont.

but YAY the first live colony litter, now if my other5 does can get with the program we shoudl be alright lol.

its cold, theres a slight wintery mix falling from the sky and im ready for spring...anyone else?!

the woman got back to me, shes going to put the girl i want aside (though i should be going up early and get there before the other guy just in case i change my mind when i see them all in person lol.

so im going to be piggy mommy by the end of the day tomorrow!

however the finaicnial backer has decided to arm me with enough money to get 2...JUST incase i decide theres a 2nd feale worth the money!

checked on the baby bunnies all 5 are cozy and warm and someones been visiting the box, eveyrones VERY interested in haystacks rump so im pretty sure they are her babbits lol. (colors also fit as id be expecting more brokens out of both bluebell and blackberry.)
itll be interesting to see what color the dark kit turns out to be...

im seriously excied about pig-wig...just got to remember how often to feed...
some sites are saying 4 hourly, others say 6 hourly other say 8 hourly...at 1 week old they can go 8 hours over night so theres no worries there, but just trying to make sure im prepped time wise.
theres a big difference between 4 and 8 hours
called co-op and they said their milk replacer bags, both sow and all stock say 8 hourly for pigs, yet other places re saying 4-6 so...
theyll need to be kept in the house for the first week (cant regulate their own body temp untill about 2 wees old) which gives me next wek to find a roll of fencing to set up a temporary pen for them and they canmove out into the old goat shelter..which in order to move them into there i need to shovel it out of all the old goat poop and bedding lol. (which im just going to stick in my veggie beds anyway lol...
so right now the plan looks like tuesday, build the 4 veggie beds, wednesday shovel out old goat shelter and red bed thursday-sunday put up the temp fence (which will eventually have a line of electric inside too to trin em before letting them out with the goats in a few weeks) and i need to find baby-young adult frinedly piggy trough/pans/water buckets. lol

going to be a busy first week of march lol.

lol i hink mabe soo...
for me its more along the flower theme and for some reason petunia pig jumped out (porky was never my fave cartoons (i was a tom and jerry girl lol)

ive also got Clover, Ginger, Sweet Pea and Daffodil on the list lol
my eventual male pig will be Basil. not entirely sure why LOL!
