had a good morning...
its sunny, not warm as such...but sunny.
started my day with a mango smoothie (0% fat stony feild farms plain yogurt, 1/2 a cup of ice and pure mango puree..yummy)
then swimming, then lunch (1 egg scrambled with 1 sausage link and 1/2 a fruit cup) yummy!!!
now im taking 5 mins before trying to get everyone moving to do some more stuff in the garden, the chickens realy need their new run sorted out, we need to make a trip to get wood to make a gate to the new run and a roll of fencing.
we have the posts, as well as posts to put the "mkae it higher" barrier and the fencing for that (trying to 1: make the existing 4ft fence chicken escape proof and 2: keep the deer out so we have a couple of rolls of deer netting and some canes to attatch to the fenceposts...hoping those plus many many zip ties shoudl do the trick. lol)
lesson: when i get my own place and am planning my chicken coops and runs, always give them twice as much space as i think they will need lol. the coop itself is big enough, and the run is 140sqft, but out girls tell us in no uncertain way its not big enough...they also made it clear that free ranging would also include the decimation of all our flowers...so new run addition it is
in other news, the kittens have started picking at wet food

momma is of course still feeding/cleaning them, (next week will be intro to litterbox time) but i put her wet food in the pen with them and shes teaching them how to eat, as of right now, the boys are pigs and my little peanut isnt very interested...
it also looks like little bear will be short haired...and mouse and peanut/cinder will be medium-long hair...the red tabby whome im sure is daddy is short-medium haired so...
still that coudl all change, they only turned 4 weeks on friday. more pictures of them will be comming tomorrow or tuesday.
oh and did i mention, wednesday we fly to TN to see houses. VERY excited!
still trying to figure out what we'll be doing other than seeing houses, i know the zoo is on the list, as is the opryland hotel, and hopefully the bluebird cafe in nashville. weve taken the paris area off the list as the house i wanted to see there has been sold, so unless nothing new hits the market for that area we MIGHT use that day to tke a day trip to memphis OR chattanooga, or mabe knoxville...who knows...
im fairly certain that other than the seeing houses days its just going to be a case of get up and see where the day takes us.
mums paying for the gas so *dances*
they both seem a little more supportive of this whole thing now *yay* this morning dad was telling me that he'll help me buy a small generator for my house once i get settled in so he doesnt have to worry about me so much...oh and if the house doesnt have a basment how building a strom shelter needs to be one of my top priorities.
I want a root cellar anyway so, hey, ill just build a realy STRONG root cellar!

its nice to feel a little more supported by them.
my mum told my uncle about it, i think she thought hed side with her opinion...but he got all excited said it was a wonderfull plan and that hes going to save up so that when he comes to visit hell be able to hire a motorcycle and spend a couple of weeks with my parents, then him and dad can ride the motorbikes down and spend a week with me... (2 weeks total due to the traveling) he loves the idea of taking a road trip and seeing some more of america. (and yes he is a very experienced motorcyclist...though hes more into the sports bike feel than classic cruisers...but i love him anyway lol.
but yeah. sun is shining, so time to get this show on the road!
(im kind of tired and yet kind of hyped up...i blame the tiredness on swimming 1 1/2 miles this morning (in less than an hour OUCH!) and the hyperness on the combination of mango smoothie and the mini peppermint patty i just ate....WEEEEEE!
