shes doing great this morning, playing with the babies, eating like a pig, plotting my demise because i wont let her out LOL.
took a quick look at the insicion and the vet did a very good job, i dont know how he managed to spay through such a tiny hole but the insicion itself is not even 1/2 an inch. all stiches are internal and her glued the external insicion so i dont have to worry about the kittens or her popping any stitches...
this s great because shell heal very quickly, bad because if such a thing shoudl happen again theyll likley end up cutting her open before realizing shes spayed since they didnt tat her or anything...
in other news i spent last night making tags for the critters...
ive been looking for some realy unique, fun pet tags that i can put information on BOTH sides, i like having the dogs name on the front and then my contact info on the back, and since im hoping to move in the next few months i didnt want to spend $25 on a tag for double side engraving when that info is going to change soon (with any luck)
i also wanted something realy funky cool, not just some peice of colored metal.
and i wanted something veyr light weight so i could put one on tempi without her being too bothered by it...
so instead i decided to make my own!
and this is what i came up with
i love traditional tattoo art, and the bright bold colors realy lend itself to shrink art...
im realy pleased with how thye came out, each took about an hour to make because i hand drew all the art, then colored and hand cut each one.
its shrinky dink plastic, so they shrunk to 1/3 the origional size (making a 3x3" peice the perfect size for a cat or small dog tag

) are bright and bold, my contact info is on the back which given the situation i got to put my cellphone (which will stay the same if i move) and my email, which stays the same no matter what.
they are nice and light too.
they have to be sealed with a clear coating to protect them from scratching/fading.
even charlie got one and because its origionaly on larger stock and shrunk down its easy to get alot more information on the back
im wondering if there might be a little nich market for these tags...
thinking $10-$15 per tag (depending on size and artwork) simpler shapes and artwork and the "cat size" would be in the $10 range, while i could make bigger ones and more intricate shaped tags in the $12-$15 range.
thoughts?
side note, willow is the little tortie kitten i origioanlly named Cinder...
i had a dream the other night thats kept nagging at me since...in it she walked up to me, slapped me and told me her name was willow...
so thats her name...LOL, message seemed simple enough to understand.
