The kids just came in HUNGRY AGAIN!!! They are gonna eat me out of house and home!! At least it was easy this time, baked taters in the microwave I'll see if our little buddy down the road will be willing to help too. She usually does like to if for no other reason than to get out of the house. She has it a bit rough right now...so she'll do about anything to get out. Plus her and DD get along fairly well. I can't wait to destroy the sheds It WILL be fun! Guaranteed We have gloves and everything, and I'll get them ready tomorrow afternoon. PM me directions to your house again though...I can't remember how to get there to save my life!!!

lol, sad part is the directions to my house read like this...
get on the highway...drive north...keep going...keep going...keep going...when your sufficiently in the middle of nowhere youll see a water tower...turn right there..no literally, use the tower like a pivot...ok...keep going....keep going...keep going....when your pretty certain there cant be a town here youll see the post office and the convenience store...turn onto the road that looks more ike a driveway follow it round the conred and drive to the end and tada you found my house lol.
alternitivley you can turn into the driveay directly across form the post office and drive through tha tpersons yard and youll run into my livingroom on the other side...dont think they be too happy about that method though LOL!

the great thing about my house is i LITERALLY live in the middle of nowhere location wise...but i have acess to a nice little selection of basic communtiy features (postoffice, convenience store, friday night dances and aparently theres a little cafe too) and its only about 30 minutes in both directions north and south to the bigger conveniences!...
theres definatly places much more isolated than i am...but i feel like im in the middle of nowhere!

And, if I ever get down that way, I'll be looking you and Pinky both up. Right now, I'm thinking of heading north in 2013 to Canada. I want to trace my roots some, and I think my Mom still has family in Ontario. I think the town is called Guelp, or something like that. (It makes me think of gulp. :/)

well the battle is on...
i resrected to a mixture of chemical and biological warefare...this stuff kills adult fleas supposedly AND prevents the development of the eggs...so im not only hitting them....im also controling their population growth with flea birth control!

its mostly pyrethrin based with a growth hormone inhibitor, so while it cant go directly on the dogs, passive contact wont do any harm not its dried...
i sprayed EVERY soft item in this house, the bedroom carpets, my bed, their crates the chair and ottoman and cussions, the curtains the futon, the kitchen carpet and all around the baseboards in the livingroom and hallway where theres no carpet. i even sprayed under tjacks cage, the ottoman and the chair, under the futon and under the bed and playpen in the bedroom
so ets hope this works. supposedly itll stop any eggs from developing and hatching for 7 months...i figure ill respray in about a week to make sure ive got good coverage and then assuming it sems to work and the advantage helps ill probably respray the entire house every 6 months to make sure we dont get any population booms....
i do like that this stuff realy doesnt smell or leave a residue that i can feel/see no stickyness ect.

tidied around, did some dishes, hand washed a few items...
not bad for a sunday morning

in a little while i think im going to go out with my loppers and clear out some of the privets to make it easier tomorrow to get to everything for the demolishing crew
think ill also tackle the pile from yesterday, planning on trimming the outer branches off them and saving the main stems to use as canes for the garden this spring...waste not want not right?

otherwise nothing to report, alls quiet around here...

Good luck with those fleas! What a PIA! When we lived in Hawaii we had an infestation of ticks! At least they were easier to see (for the most part) It took months of washing and rewashing and dog bathing and tick pulling

Pinky, our plans for tomorrow just got scrambled :/ DH has to have the truck tomorrow and I have to run a couple loads of steel, so we won't be able to make it out tomorrow. We both thought he'd surely be working tomorrow ALL this rain is holding back the progress on the jobs though, and so we have to haul steel on days he isn't working in order to keep up the income. Anyway.....sorry. We'll have to reschedule. HOPEFULLY we can come one day this week though. I was so excited to get to smashy smash It's supposed to rain Tuesday and Thursday too I WILL get there to smashy eventually!!!

not a probelm, it gets done as it gets done...gives me time to try and get even more privet hacked up and moved for easier acess...

i am going to demand turnovers when te day of smashy does arive though

Hehe okay I was planning on bringing doughnuts tomorrow. Found a GREAT recipe, and made those tonight SO GOOD!
