Same here. It sucks sometimes though...I'm dying for a Kitchen Aid right now....but I gotta wait. The plastic would have it here tomorrow But then...it'd cost alot more in the end. *sigh*

To me its not only that but you'd also be in debt, something that prohibits full off gridness.........IMO but Im just a young'un

Yep, not fully SS if you have to borrow money. But then, there are a lot of things each of us wouldn't willingly give up. I aint giving up electricity till I have to...or until theymake me really really mad again and I'm sitting on enough money to tell them where they can stick it

I'd say you're more mature about a lot of things than not just MOST people your age, but also those that are a lot older than you.

lol, thats why i only have the one card, its interest free on all purchases for 12 months from the purchase date...so as long as i get it paid off within a year im not paying interest...as soon as that changes the card goes bye bye lol. thats what happend to my first credit card, it whent form being interest free to suddenly being almost 30%...the acct was closed and i told them why...they told me all cards to that...not yet onmy other card do that one stys and you go bye bye...lol
i do the same wiht bank accounts, i refuse to pay fees for my account ect so i go with free checking ect...im such a skinflint...

i consider my mortgage "high" and the interest on it is only 4.5% lol (pretty dang good for a mortgage lol)
and i definatly try to pay cash whenver possible (ie my car was cash)...but sometimes theres things that i just need to spread out the cost a little bit to make it doable for things i need...

and yeah getting off the gird is dedinfalty impossible when youve got money owed to people...but i figure thers things i need to get to that point...
i do think everyone is different...my sister for example should NEVER have a credit card...shes terrible with money and budgetting, how shes going to survive as an adult i have no idea...
and my parents need to get thiers under control (they are working on it and getting there)

its VERY easy to go over the top with the stupid things, its just so easy to swipe it and forget...

besides, im kinda hoping the crazies are all right the world comes to an end at the end of this year takes all the nutjobs with them and leaves me with noone to collect the few debts i have LOL! (just kidding...kinda lol)

Yeah we wont be fully SS but tis nice to dream. I could do without electricity (if I had suitable replacement), landline telephones, and TV for sure. If I had a well then I wouldnt need that crappy tap water either

Pinky I know what you mean. If there is no interest, AND you can control yourself spending...AND you can remember you have the stupid card payment every month, then it's pretty much the same as a debit card. Debit cards are easy for people to overdraw on their account too if they aren't responsible with their spending in the first place. I still hate credit cards with a passion, and will never have one, but I do carry debit plastic. It's all the same. One just allows you to spend money you don't have yet, and the other doesn't, but you still have to control spending either way. Credit cards will build your credit score if used properly, but I just don't need the headache

What time are you coming today? Doggy has her appointment at 1, other than that I will be here, and even that won't take long.

Really anytime this morning is fine. I'm just sitting around in my PJ's trying to figure out what housework I feel like tackling first I'm leaving for the vet office at 12 or so because I may have a load of steel to take out on the way. That's all I have to do today though outside the house.
