Pink Fox: its Raining...IN MY HOUSE! :/

ick, since comming in ive found 4 live ticks on me, only 1 had bitten and thats how i knew he was there (i can feel the little buggers)
so now not only do i need to figure out the goat hosue situation...but i need to figure out a guinnea hen situation LOL...i refuse to be eaten alive by tiny blood sucking parisites every time i need to so something outdoors.

i also need to make up tick spray...

guess its the down fall of nice weather, the damned things wake up early and hungry!

UGH Ticks give me the heebeejeebies!!!
This year we have had six horses on Doxy, plus two more that were diagnosed as having "mildly high" tighters so they didn't run a course of antibiotics. I also suspect one other horse has it but hasn't yet been diagnosed. Disgusting!

least the lymes risk here in TN is alot lower than it is in CT
but still, EWW...
im thinking a small guinea house will be a god april/may project, get the duckies out of the brooder, put guinea keets in lol

I'm thinking guineas will be a good addition when we land somewhere... I can't stand ticks.
of course reducing the mouse population helps with the tick risk too (mouse is one of their first bites that is a carrier for Lyme)

yeah, lymes for me is more a worry than the ticks themselves so im glad to be away form ct (the highest lymes risk im told)
but they still give me the creepies Yicky!

well not sure what this afternoon os going to bring...
sun is shining, rabbits fed and their hutches completly cleaned (still no babbits for Rowan and day 34 since brining them home so im thinking shes not bred will try her with BigWig on monday)
i think im going to take a ride to the crump flea market...the cheapest gas in the area is also down that way so i can fill up in the process.
just wander round take a look see.
so yeah.
then when i get back im going to start painting my mailbox i think. :)

had fun wandering fourn the flea market, not much there but im told alot of folks go to the first mondays gig so...
filled up my tank, was wpecting $50 cost $46 so yay there and then headed home.
upon arrival home there was a box on my doorstep...YAY a package...but i didnt order anything. upon closer inspection the package started squeeking...inside 2 little puppies.

both female, both bobtailed (looks natural rather than docked) about 6 weeks old, no clue what breed, so called the vet took them in got them a deworming check over and their first set of shots, vet thinks theyll be 35-40lbs full grown and probably pitbull or boxer and something else (mabe aussie?)
pics are here:

there cute, and ive already listed them online, hopefully theyll both have good homes before the weekend is through.
Asking fee to cover the shots so hopefully it doesnt deter anyone.

Do you know who left them? Are you already the crazy puppy lady? You are still pretty new in the area for people to just leave animals on your doorstep!
