goats are officially traumatized...lol
beautiful set up these folks have and i told him il lbe in touch late fall to get myself added to his spring baby list, want a couple of does from him

his babies were all so curious and friendly, came running over to say hi and get fusses. i hope these 2 sweeten up with the hands on.
very nice folks,we chatted a little, he disbudded both girls, poppy proved to be a challenge as her nubbins were a little big, but he did the job and said it shouldnt be a problem, he doesnt think they will scur, obviously no guarentees. Lilly was a little easier overall her nubbies were tiny compared.
got them home put them out in their pen and both promptly whent about nibbling again so i figured they shoudl be fine, checked on them a few misn ago and there sun bathing lol.
cleaned out the brooder, those duckeis can be seriously yuck! but at least their brooder is now clean. however, there also covered in gunk from aparently paddling in their waterdish then rolling in the food...so i may need to run a shallow bath for them to have a little splash in a little later.
mum sent me a "Care package" too (i love getting packages lol)
when i moved in here, me and the screen on the back door got into a rather serious argument...it kept trying to eat my foot (and i twisted my ankle a few times getting it stuck) and was generlaly evil in a fit of annoyance i removed the door (whcih when it comes to screen doors was about as usefull as trying to kepe water in a seive...as it was missing one seciont of screen (and the frame to hold the screen) completly...) so it got unscrewed and removed and glared at in passing many times.
the problem being then i couldnt open the back door wihtout being attacked by bugs...and it would be so nice to just leave the door open so the dogs and cats cna just go in and out at will...
well...mum heard my cries and sent me a magic mesh...now ive giggles at the silly advert for these things but figured hey, some kind fo screen is better than no screen and there is no way in heck this one can attempt to slam shut on my foot every time i try to use it so up it whent and its Awesome...
will it keep EVERY big out all the time...not likely...BUT it covers the door frame nicely length is perfect for my door, and dozer learnt how to use it imediatly! jasper took a few tries but has it down pat now...and ruby...well ruby is afraid of anything new so itll take her about 6 months of me holding it open for her to decide its not going to eat her....then probably another 3 months of watching the other dogs go in and out and me coaxing her before she figures out its not a solid seethrough wall and she can indeed just push right through lol. (ruby is my sweet sweet "special" little angel)
so YAY, i now not only can leave the back door open for a good cross breeze, BUT the dogs (2 of them at least) can come in and out as needed when it is...
i dont think itll take the cats long to figure it out either
YAY mommy! (she also sent mesome ox cubes and seasonings and coupons...lol.
had lunch outside, gave bluebell some extra straw as shes officially due to kindle tomorrow (im hoping for 8 lol, im expecting 6...) theres no fur in the nest yet, so im thinking itl be tomorrow nigiht into monday as opposed to tonight into tomorrow...but ive got fingers crossed for a nice big healthy litter there.
rowans then due in a little over 2 weeks so more crossed fingers.
but yeah, just chilling now for a little bit before bottle time for the babies...
then im goign to grab the drill power cords screwed and hammer and go and block the gaps in the pallet being used as a gate LOL.
then after that got some dishes to put away and some more to wash and set aside to dry (including the 3 teracotta pots i keep saying im going t get painted)
then i think im going to take a shower. i feel so grimey today for some reason.
