LOL, it usually involes underware and then cloths that dont show said underware...im odd that way
got ALMOST everything i needs, need to make a trip up to jackson which im going to do shortly to pick up the last few things....
I hate to go out again today BUT least if ive got everyhting i can just get to work on the fence and get it done withtout having to stop to pick up stuff ive forgotten...
I still need the gate anchors for the T-Posts (itll mean less "splicing" for me to do and will make the fence less likely to fail/come undone)
i need a small basic fence tester, nothign fancy just somehting to say "yes...youll get zapped if you touch this" kind of device
and some electrican conduit...because im having to run the insulated wire across the back yard to reach the fence ive decided ill run it through electrican conduit which SHOULD keep it safe from digging dogs, me and the weed eater and curious ducks who like to put everyhting in their beaks. i may eventually dig a small trench to put the pipe in so i dont have to worry about tripping over it but that will be highly dependant on how much work i REALY want to do here lol...but least if the insulated wire is in somethign sturdy theres again, less chance of it getting damaged and failing...and itll protect the insulation aroudn the wire form getting damage and causeing short outs ect.
least thats the idea. so i need about 40ft of that (its only $1.50 for a 10ft length so doesnt add t much to the overall cost.)
once ive got all that, im almost good t go...need to finish pounding that 2nd rod in, another 6" or so shoudl do it. then ill position and hang the box and get the insulated wire sorted, that will run to the grounding rods AND to the fence so i need ot make sure ive got enoguh of that (i bougth 250ft so i HOPE its enough lol)
Once the insuated is all hooked up i then need to pull up the current welded wire thats their current pen, and move that to its new home, i think thats going to be another "big" job as it involves pulling out and rehammering in a few T-Posts and getting the fencing wire hooked up (and the ground is NOT even)
then its just a cas of pop the unulaters inplace on the t-posts, and start running the wire. got some nail in insulators for spots where i can use the trees in the woods which should cut back on the amount of step ins i need back there (i picked up 30 of those thigns lol)
so im hoping itll move pretty quick.
i will say 1/2 a mile of 17 gage wire is suprisingly HEAVY lol. id hate to know how much 1/2 a mile of 12g weighs!?
stopped at the flea market on the way home, chatted to WBF for a bit, but it was hot hot hot and i wanted to come home, check on the buns and eat before running back out again.
so yeah, this is me, going back out again
