Interesting discussion. I wear what I like, which can be jeans & boots for working around the house, or heels & a skirt if I'm going out someplace nice. DH & I don't discuss each other's clothing choices, which is good & bad. We went to a wedding last night, and the nicest outfit he could muster was khakis & a button down shirt. Of course, he wouldn't even tuck the shirt in! But he is a grown up, and I am not his mother, so I don't tell him what to wear. And the same goes for his input on my clothes.
While I sometimes encounter people who I wish would choose to put on more clothes when they go out, it's up to them. That being said, I do have issues with the "sexy" clothes that are marketed towards young girls. There's something truly wrong with an industry that would try to make little girls into teenagers while they are still just kids. No kids here, but my sister complains that it's impossible to find jeans that aren't lowriders so that my nieces' underwear hangs out.
