Canning can be a bit of work, depending on what you are canning, but it isn't difficult.

just a thought- maybe hold back the doe and give her to the neighbor in the spring after you get a few litters out of her? if shes so docile?

I have 3 does out of the same breeding that are better. I hope to breed the best one. She is really sweet, but all of my rabbits are docile, so I don't think it would make a huge difference.

I have to be extremely careful in my breedings and cull heavily. I only have 9 cages and expanding is not an option.

But if I have her over winter and can compare her to the other 3 does... who knows? She might end up having the best body type and being the right rabbit to breed.
