I used to get hives all the time. My doctor suggested that after the first outbreak/treatment, I keep a hives journal, writing down the symptoms, areas affected, medications used (name and doseage) and how long the hives lasted after treatment began. For months after that first hives break out, nothing happened. Then after a while, I started getting hives all the time, and that small journal filled up quickly. My doctor sent me to some specialists to get some testing done. My diagnosis, I was having allergic reaction to my sweat (cholinergic urticaria) and to various allergens (dust, pollens, chocolate). I was peri-menopausal at the time (in my 20s). I was a single parent, working full time and a full-time college student. The medication I had to take 3x a day, put me to sleep 15 minutes after taking it, so I only took it when my dd and I were with family. TR and I just started dating at the time, and after the first attack he saw, he went home to ask his RN mother if she thought I was allergic to him.

Thankfully, I haven't had a case of hives in decades.
So, my friend, I hope the medication helps and you find that the zest soap is the true issue, and this is a one time only thing for you. But I would recommend a journal...for just in case. Feel better soon!
