Oh, Aly! He is definitely the cutest bunny I've seen.....has that "aawwwwww" factor, for sure! You do know how difficult it is to kill those things for meat, don't you?

Even the old crusty that I am has a very, very hard time killing meat rabbits. Had to have my sis do it most of the time!
So very, very cute!
Oh, Bee, Bee, Bee....Cadbury is NOT for eating! His future offspring on the other hand....
And as for butchering, that's why I have my DH

He'll do the offing and I'll help with the skinning/cleaning...and most definitely the cooking and eating part!
Today was a great day! Dh and I drove all the way up to where keljonma and her husband live. We picked up some chain link fencing they were so gracious to let us have.
We were able to sample some of her AFB Carrot Bread and she let me sample some of her egg loaf. Both were delicious! I do believe my DH ate most of the AFB on his own. She also sent me home with a bag of starter for me and one for my mom. (Secretly, I think she was happy to send off two bags as the stuff seems to be breeding in her pantry!)
We talked with PamsPride on the phone, and I plan to trade a couple turkey poults for a couple BJG since my DH is adamant that we need BJG!

Having seen keljonma's beautiful BJG, Lou, I have to agree with DH!! Definitely need some BJG!! Now if I can just get my hands on 2-3 Black Cochin ladies for Polk.....
On the way home we stopped by our local TSC and picked up 6 absolutely adorable mallard ducklings!!! I took my time selecting them, as we already have a male and I wanted to be sure to pick a few girls. The secret is in the quacks. Loud, clear, screaming quacks are girls. Quieter, raspy sounding quacks are boys.

I think I managed to get 3 boys and 3 girls.
Stopped by mom's and delivered her starter of AFB and picked up the kiddos.
I'm looking forward to the next time we get to make a trip up to see keljonma and hopefully PP!!
Now we're having a cheaters dinner...I popped a pizza in the oven..........
