Well this morning my dh went to work to find the gate kicked in and the door to the office pryed open. One of the other drivers money bag was gone containing several hundred more. Well at least we know now what happened for sure. They filed a report, but there is not much they can do to catch whoever did it. Now they are going to be audited. To be honest I'm glad it happened, now we know for sure that he didn't just lose the money bag. He will probably still have to pay it back and the other driver may have to, too. I feel bad for the other driver and I really hope that neither one has to repay the stolen money, but I figure they will.

Wow! Times are getting harder, and people are forced into drastic things. This is what scares me...getting robbed. Not that we have anything of value here..just the thought of it. I hope your DH and the other guy doesnt have to pay it back. That just doesnt seem fair! Is there not a safe to put the money in!??

No. Their "office" is just a prefab building. Doesn't even have water. It is a wonder they haven't had problems before.

Spring Cleaning time!!! I told y'all before how my dad's place needed to be cleaned up and the weather has been so GREAT the last couple of days that I got right down to it. I cleaned out the old piles of fencing and stovepipe behind the shed down the hill. I raked and cut through vines to get at the junk they were growing in. I busted my butt. I even depooed all the pens except the mule's pen(she kicks, dh is going to be there for that one!) and put it all in the pooposter. The kids helped de-poo the pig pen. They even offered to do the pig pen when they saw me outside working. There wasn't much as it is cleaned out once a week. By the time my dh got home I was achy, tired, and my hands hurt from trying to pry piles of old fence out of honeysuckle vines. He pulled up and popped something off about their homework not being done. Didn't even say a word about all our hard work! Grrrrrr........ I realized he was tired so I went in and set out leftovers for supper. Haha. Later I asked him how much better the place looked and he looked puzzled and asked what I did! The butt. Anyway, my dad's version of getting rid of house trash toward the end was to pile it in the shed everything else went down the hill. Now I am left wondering What the heck do I do with all this? The trash pickup will not take it and I currently can't afford a dumpster like I wanted. I have a pile of old rusty fence and pieces of fence and stovepipe that I don't have a clue what to do with. Maybe somehow I can find a use for it. I would give y'all before and after pics, but honestly i just may give after pics when I'm finished, because until then I will continue to hide my head everytime someone drives past our house!

The wire and stove pipe can be brought to a metal scrap yard for cash. It probably doesn't weigh much so you might not get much $ but it's better than nothing!

When my sis bought her farm it was 33 acres of junk they threw out the trailer door! What a COLOSSAL mess!
She clawed and scraped at the mess which included THREE unlivable mobile homes and several enormous piles of garbage as big as some sheds. It looked as though she would NEVER get it all done. Then a miracle happened. She found a recycle team. They came into the farm with a semi box truck and a couple of bobcats. They did in a day what she had been struggling with for a couple of years! They stripped the siding from the mobile homes. They loaded up the metal. They made a huge burn pile and all of the non recyclable items blazed.
The best part... they cost NOTHING! They were CASHING in on the price of scrap metal.
Get a container of some kind and start piling! A bit of wire or a stove pipe alone weighs very little, but get a semi truck load of it and you are rolling in the dough!

My plants are in!!!!!!!! I got popcorn seeds, luffa seeds, tomato seeds, cantalope seeds, 2 hazelnut trees, 5 everbearing blackberries, 2 pawpaw trees, 1 tartarian cherry, 2 nanking cherries, 3 rosa rugosa(hips rose), 1 elephant garlic, 25 ozark beauty strawberries, 1 mulberry tree, 2 apricots and 3 seeded grapes. I still have to get my blue potatoes(for the kids) and 2 kiwis. I ordered from burgess seed. they always send small stuff, but it is usually alive and it is way cheaper than other places. AND my dh BOUGHT FEED!!!! It wasn't the right feed, but it's okay. I didn't tell him what kind and the people at the feed store couldn't remember what I usually get. (It's a family feed store and we've been going there for over 10 years now! My dh just assumed they'd know what feed for him to get!) Anyway he got me some barred rock pullets while he was there! Rare and rarer! Yesterday he bought some food grade barrels for my hydroponics and was going to help me set up the catfish tank. I am begining to wonder what happened to my husband......Self sufficient supporting aliens perhaps? trying to support this radical new movement on the planet earth? Or he is planning on quitting his job and expects me to feed his butt. 
I think I like the alien idea better.
I am putting off the yard cleaning for now. Mine isn't as bad as 3 trailers, but it feels like it. Right now I'm working on a burn hole that used to be a goldfish pond when I was a kid. I want to get as much of it out as possible then put plastic over what is left and then refill it and turn it into a strawberry patch. My dh said he wouldn't trust eating anything that grew there and wanted to make a little gazebo over the spot(like we have the money OR the carpentry skills). I personally think with plastic over the burnt stuff that it would be fine. I have been working on the greenhouse and taking a break from the yard. It is amazing what I can do all by myself. My carpentry is poor, but I have enough knowledge from other projects that I now have all the supports and braces in place and am getting ready to pull the plastic. At least when I am doing it by myself I can do it the way I want it and my dh and I aren't argueing about how it should be. Besides it doesn't have to be pretty to be functional and I have waited for over a month now for him to finish it or even finish starting it! To my amazement he didn't pop off if a board was crooked or I didn't do something exactly right. he cautiously said it looked okay then didn't say another word.
