I've heard red sky at night. Sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors warning.

I believe there is truth to this. After 3 days and nights of rain. We are forecast sunny tomorrow.

Camera does not capture colors so well, but sunset was definitely red this evening.

Wow, that looks beautiful! We had a red sky sunset about 3 days ago and the weather since have been absolutely amazing, so there has to be some truth to that..

We have red sky every morning and most evenings. I guess we are just situated for the most beautiful showing off of the sunset/sunrise.

This is how it was explained to me: Weather systems typically move from West to east. Red sky is the sunlight shining through the dust particles in the air - or a high pressure system. Red Sky at night (in the west) would mean a high pressure system moving in and nice weather. Red sky in Morning (sun in east) would mean the high pressure system is past and foul weather would be coming.

Same here, LG...that saying has held true all my life and the Bible mentions the very same thing, so it's been that way since the beginning of time.
