Yay on the move and the pumpkin! :) You sound exited about the new home and that is good to hear. I hope this place will be a good fit and a longer term one for you two. It's a pain, having to move and trying to find something suitable. Have you got pics of the area you're getting to garden in?
I don't have a pic of the garden space yet I'll try to get one next time we are over there. But it' at least 6 by 6 and I can plant along the fence.

Have you looked into growing things vertically? Stacked up, etc. You'd be amazed how much you can fit into a small space that way.

I've been thinking for ages about starting a thread on small scale gardening, with ideas for those with limited space. I'll make work of that this evening, or tomorrow. @rodeogirl I'll tag you over there when I'm done.

So my little man just added a new challenge to gardening. He wants his own garden this year. So what I'm thinking is get him a big containr of some kind and let him plant what he wants in there. I'm also thinking over doing a vertical pallet herb garden.

So what I'm thinking of planting this year so far are:
A pumpkin that will be in its own containr
Sunflowers and possibly corn along the fence
Tomatoes, peppers, carrots, radishes, beans, peas, and cucumbers in the garden space with basil intermixed
Potatoes possibly in a container (I don' want to deal with digging them all up)
Time, oregano, cilantro, rosemary, and maybe some chives in a vertical pallet garden.

Those are all good ideas! The peas and cucumbers can be trained to grow up on a frame of some sort, which will be space saving too. I grew potatoes in storage boxes last year and was amazed by the crop! They did really well in there.

I might have the perfect box to plant the pumpkin in. My little man has some outside toys in a old rubber made storage box I want to say it's at least 5 gallons. So I'll just dwnsize his toys so they fit is something smaller or get him a different box for them.

Because both my boyfriend and I work valentine's day we give each other our gifts a day or night early and have dinner a few days late. And my boyfriend knows knows me so well, I had told him that I don't like to get flowers and about 2 years ago I told him that I liked wind chimes and this was the result
