Just put in my reservation of a buckling this spring. :fl Sending deposit tomorrow so here's to hoping I get a buckling out of my choices! Still have to find a second buck this year but one will do it for now. I mean, he could live with the ladies all winter then if need be but we'd prefer he have a buddy.

That is some awesome chicken math! lol Can we see the little ones, please? I'm thinking about ducklings, once the shed project is done, as that is going to be housing for the birds. Ducks are messy, but they are great and ducklings are just :love

Here they are! These are last weeks photos but still good! I will try to add some more in today for y'all from this weekend. :) The ducks no longer fit in that little pink dish... in a weeks time that happened. I did't get mine last year until a week old so I was shocked by that lol.

A little introduction of the goats here:

Tilda the SNubian, the very first goat I was never planning to own who picked me and 4 weeks later came home with me and a wether buddy who has since left us to be a pita, I mean Pet, for someone else. I swore up and down that I would NEVER own a white goat. EVER. :hide That worked out well being as how my FIRST was white and all.

Olive the Alpine, our replacement for the wether.

Scarlet the Registered Nubian

CeCe the registered Nubian who came to us in pretty rough shape this spring and has since been doing wonderfully. She also has her milk star! Did not know of that when I agreed to buy her so it was a plus!

And Ellie, our sweet and sassy Ellie. After a lot of loss, frustration and sadness (followed by a 15 hour round trip road trip to bring a wee 7.5 pound 17 day old Ellie home) this bubbly little snot of a spoiled absafreakinlutely ROTTEN, adorable, PITA, ray of sunshine, wild child of a Bottle baby was a welcome joy that I never expected.

Kit Kat the registered nubian buck will be joining the herd as well this summer

Let us not forget the single most important one though! RALPHIE! The VERY FIRST baby born to the farm (Blazing Acres)! :ya He is half Alpine, half Nubian and goes to his new home Saturday.

Uh you're crazy? Haha, I used to run 3 miles a day and I didn't even run 5 miles, ever. Now I run when someone is chasing me or the goats get out and head for the chicken grain. That's about it...
