It is also looking like I have 2 roos and 3 hens out of my Icelandics that were straight run and the numbers I wanted!

Stella.... my heart and soul of a dog loves her chicks. Such a great and attentive momma. It is strong in her blood. :love

It was almost all gone when i got home early yesterday and..... They met me in the drive way :hide they suck. I don't know who is the culprit anymore because both tilda and scarlet now do horrible things to the fence.... but scarlet makes up for it with this.

My latest project while waiting for spring. My Concert is in one week from today and I can't wait! Next to my mother, Grand mother and the other women in my family, this woman has been an inspiration on so many levels. The reason I fell in love with music was because of my mom but the song that sparked it was "Born To Fly". The first song I connected with and realized there was more to a song than just singing along, they mean something.

The concert was amazing.... Words can't even describe it. I was honored to meet all three of the artists. Humiliated myself yet again in front of Sara Evans but why not.... Pretty sure I left a lasting impression....

We did! I went up to her to get the larger drawing autographed for me, I'd already given the drawing for her to her sister in law earlier in the day. She gasped and got excited that I was the artist. Asked if I drew for a living and then said I should if I don't. I told her it was a funny story and that my last name was Drawz. She slapped me and laughed saying "No way!" Her sister in law who was taking the photos also laughed and said "Oh my gosh, I thought that was a play on words!" referring to my last name on social media. They teased me about how ironic that was and I joked back that I just happened to marry into the name and that I draw Architectural drawings for a living. They absolutely had a field day with it. After that, my mom walked up to her (she was next in line) and she told my mom "You must be so proud!" Of course my mom gushed about how she was and then she proceeded to thank her for being such a great role model for people and especially me growing up. I was beyond embarrassed by now so what do I do? I leaned in and said "she's just happy I didn't look up to Brittany Spears like my friends did." That "It was because of you and the fear of my grandmother that kept my cleavage covered in high school" Yep. Insert foot in mouth here, doesn't begin to describe it. She doubled over in laughter, slapped her knee and told me that was the first she'd heard that one. EVERYONE in the room was laughing. Still not NEARLY as embarrassing as the first time I met her when I was in 8th grade and FELL walking away from her. Second time I met her she remembered me because I was on crutches.... :thumbsup So, why not embarrass myself a little more with her

The worst part is we have a variety of breeds... Cinnamon queens, Easter Eggers, Icelandics, Amber link and polish. We had a Faverolle in the mix too (I think that's everyone...). I thought the ducks were gonna start laying before the hens. :\ I think it was NH Homesteader who made a comment about how nicely sized their eggs are and I was all, They had better be! They aren't young birds just starting to lay, they're adults now  Now we are up to 5 different hens having laid out of the 8. :bow:weee I won't have to start over this spring with new chicks after all :celebrate
