It is just called a "still air" incubator by Miller Company, made in the USA (I'm waving my little flag).
It was just a hair UNDER temp when we returned home. We have it adjusted right on the money now so hopefully it will stay that way. I did have it running at the right temperature, but didn't have the turner in there, I did not realize the turner would change the temperature. But Hubby was saying, how could a hen possibly keep the eggs as regulated as this.....almost exactly what framing fowl just said, so I imagine we still have a good chance at a hatch.
Had a nice day, visited all my favorite people, dropped off eggs for Kitty, visited with my daughter Bud and her daughter, and then my best friend from Tri Cities came, I'll call her T and picked me up and I spent the rest of the day at her daughter's house with her. I know her daughters and granddaughters rather well too so it was kind of a fun get together. They were all happy to see me so it felt good. I worked with this person for years and for awhile her daughter worked with us too. When she changed jobs, I followed T and changed jobs as well, and this was the place that I already described to you all where they trained the schutzund dogs for the police officers and was a boarding kennel and vet clinic catering to show dogs and breeders. It was an interesting experience for a "rescuer" to have, it gave me perspective into the show world and dog breeding and I had been somewhat of a rescue snob prior to that. But T and I became very close when we worked there, we both lived in this county and that job was two counties north, so we commuted together. And there was a little apartment upstairs, we started staying there overnight some times instead of making the long drive home and then coming back early. We eventually planned it that way and only came home once during our four day week, in the middle, to see our husbands. We got really close to each other, but I ended up not being able to continue with the job when my hearing went out. It was a very interesting job for me, one I was very suited to, and T was just the best co-worker and such a good friend, I will never forget that time. She was also my boss and I learned so much from her. And she has been the truest friend I have ever known, it was so good to see her. She ended up buying a house about three hours away so I don't get to see her as often. I coached her about Facebook today and I keep trying to get her on this forum (she would LOVE it). The odd thing is she always lived in the country and just moved to the city and I have always lived in the city and just moved to the country, so we can teach each other about our "new" lives even still. T was raised on a turkey farm as a kid, and she has lived a self sufficient lifestyle all her life, just naturally, because she is that kind of person. She is one of those people who can just make things work and devise things, we liked to call her "McGiva" because she has long blond hair and that TV show. She is a hoot. She is learning about landscape gardening (one of my old favorite passtimes). I rarely have time anymore to think about how pretty my plants might look.
