Me, too, a mini-nubian buckling. I may pull a Freemotion breeding here........there is a real cutie on Craigs List for 150.00. Purebred Mini nubian with papers and health tests, disbudded.....and not too far away. Supposed to be from "excellent milking lines." I may try to keep him around for two years breeding. Or I may sell him as soon as everyone is preggers, but I could stagger it easier I think (I have two pens now that we have no ducks). So I could keep one doe with him all the time and switch off who it is depending on who needs to be preggers.

I just can't tell when they are in heat. And I can't carry big goats down the hill, it would be much easier to get a mini nubian buckling up here.

so yeah, I went and got the one from the craigslist ad. I'll post about it tomorrow if it stops raining. The girls are out there fighting over him already He's one tiny stud. Perdy is in heat today but I do not want her bred yet so they are separated for now.

How old is yours?

I realize I could end up breeding a lot later in the year, but that would be okay too. This year my kids were born when it was really really cold out. Waiting a few more months would certainly not kill me.

I will go look at this one Saturday if they still have it that long. It doesn't seem like goats are selling too quick right now so I think they will be there.

He is 7 months old, a Nigerian dwarf. Cute as a button and not stinky yet either. I was thrilled with the people I got him from - they have the cutest little farm with goats, alpacas and horses and were just so nice. I was wondering if I was crazy when I told them I would buy him but now I am just

I have wanted mini nubians forever though, so I hope we get this guy.

I took some pictures today I thought I'd share:

Here is one of my bunnies, one of the cremes I have for sale. Unfortunately, his ear is "weak" and the heat made one droop, so he is permanently like this now.

I don't think I'll get top dollar for him! :/

Here is one of my two roosters (the third one went missing today!)

This one I call Uh-Oh because that is what we said when he started crowing. He was such a pretty hen, it was a dissapointment! This is the one that hasn't figured out mating yet.

And this is Scratch, his brother, whom I think is the better of the two personality-wise, he at least can crow and can mate.

Which one do you guys think is prettier? I need to choose which one to keep.

And here is Zoe, the foster dog that I'm calling a "farm dog"....natural herder....

And my final two ducks which I'm selling;

See how big they are? They can't seem to mate, and she doesn't lay eggs, so I'm trying to rehome them as he eats a TON and they don't forage at all. I have them in my VEGETABLE garden and they are not touching a thing. The slugs have taken over so I just put a little chicken wire around the few plants the slugs have not gotten, but the ducks are not damaging or EATING anything in there except bagged feed. I wonder if I got the wrong kind of muscovy, they are intended to be meat ducks I think.

Of the 2 roos, I like Scratch.
