Savingdogs-Saving the chickens

YAY! can't wait to see your pics of him! I thought he was quite pretty in your other thread.

And how cool that you KNOW the people he came from! :thumbsup

Well I'll have to beef up the gate (he got out into the main yard last night) but all is well on Dizzy Dog ranch this morning. I milked the girls and put everyone back where they belong without incident. I'm so glad we made our series of enclosures now.

They are all still making google eyes at each other. I don't think Molly is in heat yet, so I don't want to taint her milk before I have to. I'm sure that I'll have to throw out enough milk as it is. I plan to feed it to the chickens.

I had to wash my hands about 10 times before I milked this morning because I had buck smell on my hands! I can see how the milk gets tainted.

I don't think poor Cody has eaten a bite of the hay I gave him, he is too excited I think. I did give him a handful of grain this morning to bribe him back into the right enclosure.

I haven't forgotten about pictures, now that the sun is up, it is raining. I'll try in a few.

Okay, bear in mind the poor guy is soaking wet....but here are his pics....

Here he is with Ginger:
