I feel so blessed that the crime is super low where i live. I guess when all these kids around here become teenagers it might get a little worse. I usually sleep with the widows open and doors unlocked.

We do too....However, we are fairly remote...and everyone around here calls me " the crazy chicken lady with guns" THAT helps! If you are a known gun owner around here they just schedule a day when you are not home to help you eliminate your collection.
A friend of mine has had guns stolen a couple of times. Now they are kept in a homemade Fort Knox with a hidden access. :/
