Yeah, I'm still kicking. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Thing have been up and down so much I feel like I'm on a carnival ride. We had to put treatment on hold for a few weeks because I developed a cough. This in itself was a real up and down ride. I feel great because I haven't had a treatment in almost 6 weeks and I've been able to get a lot done around here but on the other hand, this is going to drag out the treatments into December. I should have been finished by the end of October!

Glad you're feeling okay. Enjoy it. Good luck with the treatments. You have more strength to deal with them this way at least.

Yes, I dearly wish this was over and done with, but maybe this was God's way of giving me time to get a few things done for winter and to give my body time to regroup for the second half of the treatments. The oncologist is going to reduce the dosage on the chemo due to the severity of the side effects.

Thanks, Gina, but I guess those happy thoughts didn't get here in time. I have some sheep here temporarily that I'm holding for a buyer. They came yesterday and were supposed to go the same day but the guy's truck broke down and he can't get here till Wednesday, so I put out a large round bale of hay for them.
The pen they're in doesn't have a hay feeder, so I knew I'd have to keep an eye on the bale so it didn't fall on anyone, but those critters ate it down a lot faster than I thought. I saw the end of the bale was getting undermined, so I went to push the bale over this afternoon and found a lamb had already gotten caught under it. I feel terrible!! Yes, I'll have to pay the buyer for the lost animal but that's not the point. I feel so sorry for that poor little critter. That's a terrible way to die and it's my fault for not checking the bale sooner. I just had no idea they'd eat it down so fast!
For my own animals I have a strict rule that no bale is fed out without a feeder but these animals weren't supposed to be here long enough to need hay so I put them in the only pen without a feeder. Shoulda known! Shoulda known!
