SheriM - Too Stubborn to Stop Dreamin' - SURPRISE!!!

Isn't it wonderful when people come to your aid when you're down? I know the feeling, it's very uplifting!

Happy Chickens = Happy Chicken Mom

At long last, my outdoor chicken run is finished! Well, enough to be habitable anyway. I still have to put the slider on the pop door and install the ramp, but it's usable!

I've been feeling so guilty about the laying hens being literally cooped up indoors all this time, but no more. It took them some time to gather the courage to come out, but once they did, it was so wonderful to see them out in the sunshine.

Too nervous at first to come all the way out, but boy that fresh grass is tempting!

Stomach overrides fear. The chicken has landed!

More intrepid explorers venture out.

The run is 16 x 16 ft and already they're fighting over the best dust bath spots!

Glad to hear that everything is going well with all of the critters! How are YOU feeling?

Actually, I feel great right now. The first week or so after the treatment was a little rough, but now I honestly don't even feel like I've had chemo. I don't know if the next 5 treatments will go as well, but I'm just taking it one day at a time and thanking God for each and every good one.

Okay, this is getting frustrating. Due to poor weather all throughout the spring, the hay crop all over Saskatchewan is way, way down and now, the rain won't stop long enough to let people get it cut and baled. I have a 30 acre field that is about half cut, and has been for a couple of weeks. The stuff that is down is losing quality virtually by the minute and the stuff that hasn't been cut yet is getting so mature it will be nothing but sticks by the time it is cut.

We had some mechanical problems earlier, but they're all solved now. The tractor is running better than it has in years, the baler is fixed and all greased up, ready to go and I can't get out the door for all the rain. I'm 3 days from treatment #2 and won't feel much like baling for at least a week afterward, even if the weather does cooperate. :barnie

I hope you get a break in your weather. Good job on the coop. The ladies look very happy.

Glad you are feeling so good! :frow
