SheriM - Too Stubborn to Stop Dreamin' - SURPRISE!!!

I'm so glad to hear the removal was easy. I'm a whimp, too. :D

They were able to draw blood today with no problems whatsoever for the INR (test of how thin the blood is) but the Dr. wasn't happy with the test results so he has increased my warfarin dosage again.

You poor thing.

Maybe this is a test to see if you can get over that fear of needles???

Hope you are feeling okay and your energy is good. Wow that is a lot of land! I'm envious! We have 3 acres and I want goats, hubby wants cows, not enough room!

Lori, I firmly believe that most things we face in life are meant as lessons or tests and if this whole thing was intended to get me over my fear of needles, I failed! :D I can, at least, tolerate them now. As a kid, they needed at least two nurses to hold me down.

I feel great at the moment. My energy is great, but that's about to change. My next treatment is tomorrow and then there will be about a week of feeling really, really rough. BUT it does only last a week or so, then I start to feel better, and once this treatment is under my belt I will be halfway through!

Well, take care of yourself and kiss the goats for me! With a mask on of course!

Haven't posted lately, since not too much is going on here, other than trying to deal with the maddening side effects of the chemotherapy. Feeling like I have been recently, I'm not as attentive as I should be and thanks to DH's forgetfulness, my favorite T-Fal pan got ruined. The big dutch oven from that set is also pretty much useless, thanks to me dropping it and denting it so bad the lid doesn't fit. I knew we needed new pots and pans, but they're so darned expensive, I've been making do with the dented dutch oven, but after the other one got wrecked, I knew it was time to do something.

I started hunting around on line and was horrified at the cost of a new set of T-Fal pots and pans. After tax, over $200!! Yeah, right, like that's gonna happen any time soon! But then I spotted a Kitchen-Aide set, 9 piece non-stick, all the bells and whistles -- for 70% off!!! I phoned the store to make sure they had some in stock and headed straight for town. What a deal! I got a set worth $299 for $90!

So now, just as canning season is upon us, I have a brand new set of pots and pans. Ain't it funny what can excite a lil ol' country gal? :D

That is a wonderful deal on the pots & pans, Sheri!! I've had the same set (copper bottom Revereware) for 40 years now. I had to replace the tea kettle a couple years ago, but all the rest of the pieces were purchased one at a time, as the money was saved up! :D

Hope you are doing well.

I think every woman deserves a new set of pans once in a while. With as much time as we spend in the kitchen. Glad to hear you found such a great deal.

Hope you feeling ok. Take care.

That was a great deal! I got a set of pots and pans from my in laws several years ago and you would have thought they had given me a winning lottery ticket! This year I'm asking for a meat grinder :D

Great deal on the pots and pans! That's something that would get me excited, too!! :thumbsup
