Signs of spring in your area?

Yesterday I saw the first Red-Wing Blackbird!

Another sure sign of spring here!

Pheasants are breeding
warm temps

Waiting for the Salamander rain, then it is truly spring.

Got our hummingbirds back! Now it is spring.

Also our frogs have just started the peeping too! Yay!

SNAKES!!!!!!

We saw a snake out back sunning himself today!

I forgot to post this yesterday morning. I stepped outside and for the first time this spring I smelled that warm earth smell that only happens in spring. I'm almost going to believe it really is here!

I just came back in from the barn. I heard the frogs chirping inthe pond. . I'm almost tempted to sleep with the bedroom windows open tonight, although it's still a bit cold for that. I have seen many robins, red wing blackbirds, bluejays, cardinals, groundhogs. and my chickens are getting braver and exploring ALL over the property.

Another sign?? I have spring fever!

Yesterday, Lady Bird (our Gold Penciled Hamburg) found the first worm in the farmyard!

Then a lively game of chase me ensued!
