There's alot going on right now in the world - sometimes it just seems easier to slip into thinking about the negative. Let's count our blessings in the ramblings section, and turn our minds to the good things in life. If something good happened to you today, share it here! From big blessings of a healthy recovery, to the small things like getting your first tomato in the garden. There's enough bad stuff out there right now; let's take time to just think about the good things.

For example, today, I'm really blessed by having a loving family and by getting a few work calls here lately.

I have always been thankful for my various farms. This year I'm hoping that this large garden plot will supply me and others. Even my animals. It's harder work than my jobs!

With the CV-19 stuff.....I'm almost retired by shutdowns, not own choice. Just want to make the most of it -- luckier than so many since I have always worked toward SS. Thus, not a huge adjustment for me -- except time at home is better. Have always lived with tight budgets, reuse, repurpose.

My primary shopping stores are "essential" so have been open -- TSC & Lowe's. It's a great life!

This weekend our daughter and 3 granddaughters came for the weekend. Friends of theirs twin daughters graduated and all of their family is in Missouri, so DD was happy to be invited. She also had to clean out her office, since they moved and she no longer works there. We took the 3 and 5 year old picking blueberries, sending them home with 6 pounds. Oldest granddaughter will be 13 in another week, so made her a chocolate cake with 7 minute frosting. Got her the record player she wanted and a 2 album Queen greatest hits, wrapped in corn Feed sacks. LOL Mamaw is a redneck ya’ know. I am grateful for this time with them.

I got all my tomato starts planted. But I forgot to plant the peppers, lol.

The red bud tree outside my kitchen window is blooming! And, I have a humming bird visiting it every day.

AND the apple trees are in full bloom! last year only 1/2 the buds survived to bloom.

So there are my 3 good things happening!
for the 4th, we finally got delivery of our Lazy-Boy furniture that we ordered 1 week before the Pandemic struck and shut everything down.

Fresh strawberries and yogurt. While waiting for mine to set fruit and ripen.... I picked up a package at store today. 2 berries filled half a bowl!

My home: enough land to raise a flock of chickens, and have a good sized garden.

My wonderful husband, who completes me. He is the tether to my helium balloon. He is the voice of reason for all projects. He is best friend, gentle, kind, possesses a keen sense of humor, and a man of God.

Such good news from everyone, and such gratitude for even the little things. Keep it coming! Please feel free to share any time.

Sprouts, haircuts, blooms, and positive videos are all wonderful things to think about- let's not get weighed down by all that's going on.

@flowerbug - I love that beautiful little stove in the photo - do you have any closeups of it and what brand/model it is?

i have thousands of pictures of various things here, and not one of them is tagged stove... lol i'll take a closer look at it and get back to you. the main reason it is not that closely looked at is that it has a hole in the side (covered by sheet metal and painted to match). i have as little to do with the decorations here as possible (i am busy enough fixing things as it is :) ) so while i enjoy the decorations i tend to try to enjoy them more from a distance (or i'd never get any actual gardening done!)... :)
