OK, so, I almost died Thursday morning. Maybe I'm being a little melodramatic, but I'm real sure I was pretty close. Called my Dr's office. They wanted me to find somebody to take me to ER. Only 'somebody' around was my 12 yr old son, besides which it would be pointless - they would give me a transfusion and send me home. I was taking iron + vit. C, and drinking a bunch of liquids, so didn't see the point. The nurse gave my son strict instructions, which freaked him out a bit, but he followed them to the letter. Even made me carry around his 2-way radio, for those times I was 'indisposed'

DH came home early, to help out and because he was totally spazzing, being so far away. So, the guys are doing most of my chores, my sweet little girl is VERY mad at me (she refuses to come out of her hutch, even for her hay, because 'mom' isn't paying attention to her

), and my crazy dog is being extra weird. Thursday night, for the first time ever in his life, he took two steps into my room - after I had gone to bed - and slept there all night! If I turned over, he woke up, sniffed the air (he sniffs quite loudly!), then went back to sleep. Wouldn't have been so bad, but he has 'adventure's' while he sleeps and makes a bit of a racket!
Garden is doing well. Herbs are growing like mad. Orchard is struggling a bit, but will hopefully make it. Berry bushes are all looking rather sad, no berries and a lot of dead leaves :/ DH went and picked up 4 more BA's today. That make's 7 BA's total, plus 6 Buff's and the rooster. So far, I adore the BA's! The 3 first one's we got are so sweet - they will eat right out of your hand and are so calm and gentle! Having trouble finding a BA rooster, or a Banty hen locally, so we are thinking we'll order those, plus a few meaties, in the fall. Hoping to hear back from the farm across the state soon, to tentatively schedule a time to take Ice Cream over, and a time to pick up 'Beauregard'

DH is probably right - I should wait until I see him before I name him, in case something else suits him better, but for now that's his name
Hope everybody is having a great weekend! We are having another heatwave. It was 98 yesterday (still had roast chicken breasts w/ roasted potatoes for dinner: Only brought the inside temps up to 83, so yay!), with the same or worse expected for today and tomorrow. I keep reminding myself that I was begging for temps like these in February!
